Those who qualify NEET PG 2024, securing the minimum cut off percentile are eligible to participate in the counselling process. NEET PG counselling is conducted for admission to 50% All India Quota seats and 100% deemed/central universities, ESIC, and AFMS seats. A total of four rounds of NEET PG counselling 2024 will be conducted by MCC for the above-mentioned seats. The respective State authorities will conduct counselling for the remaining 50% AIQ seats. The counselling process starts with online registrations and ends with candidates reporting to the allotted institute with all the documents.

Registration
Candidates who wish to participate in the counselling for NEET PG 2024 have to register on the official website of MCC. New registrations are accepted before each round. However, candidates who have registered once for NEET PG counselling 2024 do not need to register for the second time.
Steps to register for the counselling of NEET PG 2023 have been listed below:
Choice filling
Candidates now have to choose the desired course and colleges from the list given on MCC. Candidates can choose as many options as they want. The options will be given on the left side of the screen and will move to the right side of the page once chosen. Options can be added or deleted from the list. Candidates are advised to check the choices filled before submitting them as the seat allocation will be done on the basis of the same. Candidates should lock the choice otherwise it will be automatically locked after the due date. Also, they must keep a copy of the choices filled for future use.
How to fill the choice for NEET PG seat allotment 2024:
Seat Allotment
MCC releases the result of NEET PG counselling in the form of a seat allotment list. The result PDF comprises details of the candidate, rank secured, the course or the institute allotted to her/him, and remarks. After the registration process for the first round for NEET PG counselling, MCC will start seat allotment processing. Seats will be allocated based on the options filled by the candidates, their all India ranks, reservation criteria, availability of seats and other aspects. MCC will upload the NEET PG seat allotment list on its official website in PDF format. Candidates who make it to the list can download their seat allotment letter by logging into the registered account on the official website.
Reporting to the institute
Candidates who will be allocated a seat in the counselling of NEET PG 2024 will have to report to the allocated institute. They must carry all their certificates in original along with a self-attested copy. Candidates must pay the required fee to secure their seats during the counselling process. Candidates must note that it is mandatory for them to be present physically for verification of documents and confirmation of the allocated seat. If they fail to report to the allocated institute, their candidature will be forfeited.
NEET PG Counselling for State Quota Seats
As mentioned above, the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) is responsible for admissions to the 50% AIQ seats of government, government-aided and private colleges in India. The remaining 50% of these colleges are also filled using the scores of NEET PG but the counselling for these seats is conducted by the respective state government.
NEET PG Counselling for DNB Seats
As DNB-CET was scrapped, admission to the post-MBBS DNB broad speciality courses is now based on the performance of a candidate in NEET PG. The counselling for DNB courses is conducted by the National Board of Examinations (NBE). To apply for NEET PG counselling for admission to DNB courses, a candidate needs to register on the official website of NBE.
NEET PG 2024 Seat Matrix
The seat matrix of NEET PG 2024 denotes the number of seats available under each speciality course. The seat matrix also defines the number of seats that are available for a particular category of candidates. It will be released before each round for NEET PG counselling 2024. NEET PG 2024 Reservation
The final seat allocation will be done considering the reservation criteria for NEET PG 2024 exam. Candidates will get 27 per cent OBC quota and 10 per cent EWS quota for admission through 50 per cent All India Quota seats.
